Released on 7 November 2006, Gears Of War set new standards in the gaming industry. This game is an amazing technical and graphical achievement. Being an XBOX 360 exclusive, the game soon became known as the XBOX 360 console seller.
The game was announced Game of the Year in 2006, even though 2006 had other major hits such as Final Fantasy XII, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Company of Heroes and many more. Reaching ratings of 9.4 and 9.6 out of a possible 10 by IGN and gamespot respectively, it’s no surprise that the game has now sold over 5 million copies!
Gears of War is truly an outstading achievement and sets extremely high standards that are hard to match.
